Our mission is to build a world-class, full service grocery store by:
* Providing our customers with a wide selection of goods and services at competitive prices in the most courteous, friendly, and efficient manner, in an environment that is safe and pleasant.
* Ensuring that our employees are valued, respected, given the resources and training necessary to fulfill their roles, and encouraged to develop into capable and productive members of a winning team.
* Making a positive contribution to the community in which we serve by being a responsible and caring corporate citizen.
* Reinvesting our profits to continually improve our performance and build stakeholder value.
Monterrey Market's goal is to create a healthy, profitable grocery store that is a leader in customer service, has a loyal customer and employee base, and is recognized in the community as a responsible and caring corporate citizen.
Monterrey Market's philosophy is the better we know our customers the better we can serve them. Monterrey Market will cater to all members of the community with a greater emphasis on the neighborhood's predominantly Hispanic residents.
Monterrey Market will provide one-stop shopping offering our customers everything from fresh meat and produce to financial services. At the same time Monterrey Market will cater heavily to the Hispanic market segment thereby incorporating both industry trends.
One of Monterrey Market's greatest strengths will be its management team. Owners Roberto and Leonor Montemayor have extensive previous experience in running a grocery store whose business model is similar to that of Monterrey Market. Roberto and Leonor were previously owners/managers of a local Hispanic Grocery Store that grew from annual sales of $600,000 when they started in February 2001 to nearly $7,000,000 annual sales when they were bought out in September of 2006. This experience will greatly enhance Monterrey Market's chances for immediate success.
